The normalisation of cosmetic procedures on social media undermines the serious nature of seemingly minor procedures, and even going under the knife. These ever-shifting beauty standards and perceptions of cosmetic procedures are harmful to how users feel about their appearance, and ultimately how inclined they will be to change it.
